The Ugly Duckling me

Well, most have heard of the story of an ugly duckling whereby it then grows into a gorgeous swan.
And Me, knowing this famous story since i was young ,
was hoping and wishing that One day, I can be a gorgeous swan for real.

But as puberty approached, I realized how ugly I was slowly transforming into as pimples starting to pop out and then into acne. At one period, I even had half my face just like the surface of the moon.
Then again, due to the stress of scoring good results in examinations, I started to eat a lot of sweets and somehow gain some weight in my teens.
Soon, I just felt uncomfortable being in photos , looking into the mirror or even walk with my head held up.
I was so depressed on how I look,
envious of the gorgeous girls in school having all the attention from the cute guys
and try to avoid conversations.

Well, it turn out I found some attention from "INTERNET" !
At that time, there was ICQ and i met and chatted with friend´s friend from other school
and would always give random whenever they asked for my photo.
Well, one guy of course had some chemistry and we started chatting a lot on the phone.
It then turn out the day I was ready, to meet him personally.

We just had the idea of him holding a rose and me as well,
so we would recognize each other during the first "date".

Well, the story ended with the guy in the rose turning away pretending it wasn´t him.
And I never heard from him again.

Well, many years have passed now,
and I learnt makeup,
removed the big growing mole on my right cheek,
read lots of fashion magazine,
shop nice clothes,
and surprisingly;
the pimples were all gone when I turned 21,
stay fit
and Smile more than ever.

Nevertheless during these periods...
It was never like Perfect !
there were a lot of Trail and Error.
OH Believe me !!
I used to put makeup as thick as some Harajuku chic and
would dress up like a hill billy chic to university.

Im not saying that I turned into a swan...
but what I meant that is Beauty needs Effort,
the isnt any Ugly women but Lazy women.
Again , take note that Outer beauty isn´t everything as what counts most is the Real beauty in you.
It´s like if you dress up nicely with Makeup but then sulk around without Smiling.
That´s not gonna give a good impression of your personality.
Of course don´t smile to the weird perverts.

back to where I was talking about..........
At first, it was the makeup that made me confident
I started to put less makeup
and Smile more
as I realized what most beautiful,
is to see the Smile of the people around us.
